Basically, anything they can pour into a sample size cup is good for one of your samplers.

I believe the sample size on beverages is about 8 ounces, and the full-item size ranges from 12-16 ounces. Also, BGW members get a free item by getting a coupon at a kiosk. You can share a sampler card and reuse it for future visits. I'd suggest looking into a 15-item sampler card since that's $4.60/item vs. I definitely welcome other opinions or questions, and please let me know if I missed anything.

If I were planning on everything, and I still wanted to have a little leisure time, I'd probably purchase a quick queue to Verbolten at least, as it seems like the busiest ride whenever I go. You may feel a bit rushed, so you're not going to be able to enjoy leisurely stroll through the park and the atmosphere as much as if you had more time, but you'll still have a good time if you're mostly into enjoying the rides. Lastly, regarding ride timing: Honestly, if you're primarily focused on rides, and secondarily focused on food, you should be ok with 6 hours. As far as crowd size, I'd say Friday will be least crowded, followed by Sunday, with Saturday being the most crowded, but probably not by much of a noticeable difference to Sunday. They still have hand sanitizing stations everywhere, including near the exits of most attractions, and they have green dots in queue lines so you know where your party is supposed to wait, so I still feel pretty good about my personal safety. Not enough to make me personally feel insecure, but it's not as stringent as it had been previously. Patrick's Day event though they seemed to perhaps be a bit overwhelmed, and things were slipping a little bit because of that. BGW has historically done pretty well with enforcing social distancing in queue lines, and proper mask adherence. Regarding crowds: I believe the capacity is 4,000, but definitely no larger than 5,000 right now. I'd say the same is true for the food sample sizes as with the beverage sample sizes, they're just enough for you to get a good taste, especially if you're sharing with someone else. Regarding adult beverages: Many of the kiosks have sample sizes of adult beverages, and those are included in your sample card, but the wine tastings and the liquor tastings are a separate thing, and are not part of the Food & Wine festival. You could still plan on lunch outside of the park later if you're not feeling full enough. If you're planning on 10 samples each, with only 7 or 8 of them being food, I would say that you should be ok on food if you have breakfast before you go. As far as sizes, everyone will have different opinions, but I find the sample sizes to be a little on the smaller side, but they are just samples after all. Regarding the options: I created a Food & Wine post with all of the options. Regarding the sessions: The park requires you to vacate during the "closed" time, but you should be able to stay in the parking lot if you do plan on visiting during the second session as well. Purchasing online just saves a step at the entry gate. Regarding parking: If you don't have the membership, or an annual pass, you're going to have to pay for parking either online or at the gate. Hopefully I can provide some clarity for you. Is 6 hours long enough to ride everything? Is it worth it to buy the quick queues? We’re also trying to ride as much as possible. I know the park is limiting capacity but how much? Is there a big difference from Saturday to Friday or Sunday? Are wine and cocktails included? What are serving sizes for drink samples?Ībout how crowded is it there? This will be our first big venture out since COVID has started, we’re both fully vaccinated and will be masked up, no seated dining. The food and wine tickets say they include beer, wine, cocktails, and frozen beverages, but under “more details” it says that samplers exclude wine and liquor tasting. How many options are at the food and wine festival, and how big are sample sizes? Will 20 samples (mostly food, maybe 4-5 drink samples) be enough to feed two, or should we plan to buy lunch while we’re there? I assume this means if you buy the early pass you need to leave at 4 - does the park close from 4-5:30? Could we stay during that time if we buy the 5:30-10:30 ticket as well? Trying to go on a Saturday and I see there is a 10am-4pm option and a 5:30-10:30pm option. Is it required to buy a parking pass? I can’t tell from the website but I’m assuming so? A couple questions that I can’t tell from the last few hours planning - sorry for my ignorance and thanks in advance! I am visiting probably weekend after Easter, two guests 21+, we have lodging plans already and will be driving to the park.
